High school's like a circus. Over-crowded. Vile smelling. Loud obnoxious people. Over-priced food that tastes horrible. And of course, the main attraction: the freak show. Thousands of people lining up to see them - the freaks - abnormal, deformed. The people laugh; they throw things at them, and then move on to continue their wonderful day. When they leave, they get their hands stamped so they can come back in. But none of them ever do.
The circus ends. The tent's packed up. There's nothing left but a few old corn dogs little kids carelessly dropped on the floor. And a few dozen ruined lives.
Yeah... this is just what the title says... a metaphor.
...Well actually it's a simile but it becomes an extended metaphor...?

Not really meant to be a poem or anything. But I felt like submitting it anyway because I thought it was kind of cool. It's not all that great, but it's not supposed to be. It's just a random thing I wrote in physics class in the back of my notebook while trying to ignore the crazy little lady babbling in front of me.
