Has anyone else had a completely unproductive and utterly disappointing summer vacation? I guess I was just too ambitious. I could blame the television, but that's kind of a lame excuse, even though it is "the most evil thing on the planet" and deserves to be shoved out the window.

I am content with the fact that I will never change... although, I am listening to the Smiths right now and that's pretty different. I'm not really that fond of them though; I decided to give them another try after blowing 6 bucks on this cassette because my friend Ryan insisted I would really like them. (They're his absolute favorite.) I was highly disappointed when they failed to live up to their "Louder than Bombs" claim. I'm pretty sure explosives are in a whole other realm... Although, I must admit that "Panic"'s a good song. Who doesn't like hanging djs?

...What else, what else? I joined the Barsuk records street team. [link] a nice little independent Seattle-based label that puts out stuff by the likes of Nada Surf, Death Cab for Cutie and Ra Ra Riot. They've also signed this band called "Wooden Birds" that's pretty cool. They've got a song about choking people but they sound real sweet and mellow. Nice, nice... but I'm misrepresenting them.

Guess I'll pretend to get to work now.
